Jan Van Eyck meets Rene Magritte in CELESTIS DOMINATUS, a treatise on Roman Catholicism.
The key to this work is in the circular painting on the wall in the back of the room where Eve is being tempted by the Serpent with the “Apple”. This Serpentine/Sin motif pervades throughout.
The marriage between the sacred and the sensual, Romanism’s temporal/eternal kingdom, is encapsulated by the Nun derived from Magritte’s THE RAPE, ushering forth a cornucopia of sinful fruits. The one speaking from the chair is framed as another, or is he? The papacy rules this temporal marriage in a framework Martian Luther termed “The Slaughterhouse of Souls”. The couple’s “bed” is Magritte’s RECLINING COFFIN- in this work, The Reclining Coffin of Islam.
The Holy See claims Scripture insufficient yet it’s own decrees are infallible! One can only conclude that God, that All-Insufficient, must lean upon his papal editors for the illusion of God-like infallibility! Another word for this is blasphemy!
Ecumenical Rome claims Muslims, snake charmers, Buddhists, and even Aliens to be brothers together with them as creations of the one Almighty God. One can only wonder what god they are actually referring to when this sanctified brotherhood includes everyone except non-Catholicised, blood-bought followers of Christ.
